As a user, I would like the bundle repository browser's index to be up-to-date with respect to the EBR

      Description

As things stand, there's some manual effort involved in producing an index for dm Server tools' bundle repository browser, and the current index is out of date. I'd like the index to be updated regularly (and ideally automatically) so that the latest bundles are readily available to me in Eclipse, once I've updated my copy of the index.

I really think this issue should have an higher priority.

It's a major source of confusion, and looks sloppy to those who are experimenting with the technology.

+1 many times over... I am still not sure how this is working or how I can use things in the EBR which I can't access through the repo. Can someone give me a hint?

Ditto. Up-voting as it's certainly not clear to the new user (i.e. me) why their Repo Browser index is not in sync w/the EBR - especially when an "Update local bundle and library repository index." link is provided. Noticed this when looking for Spring bundles > v3.0.0.

Just wanted to let you know that we are currently in the process of donating the osgi server tooling parts to Eclipse as part of the Virgo project. So work will continue on these parts once the donation is done.

The tooling for dm Server is now at Eclipse as part of the Virgo project (the successor of the dm Server project). Therefore closing this here. If you observe any issues when using the latest Virgo tooling from Eclipse, please report a bug at http://www.eclipse.org/virgo
