      Description

I am working to create a package to distribute STS to developers in my company. I see there have been several Grails updates in recent weeks to v2.0.3. However the latest Grails STS plugin is still at v2.0.1. Can you tell me when a v2.0.3 plugin update will be available for STS? I would like to include the latest version in our package.

Hi Scott. The grails tools nightly update site works fine with 2.0.3 (the 2.9.1 release of the tools will likely work 99% with grails 2.0.3) - the only thing we haven't updated yet (which is probably what you are interested in) is that the 'default grails' available from the dashboard isn't 2.0.3 yet. That will hopefully get updated early next week. Is that OK for you?

Are you building your package from nightly update sites or are you trying to just use a release? Right now we have no 2.9.2 scheduled to include any of these changes, we have a 3.0.0.M1 on the horizon, but by the time 3.0.0 final comes out we may be at grails 2.1.

I have typically installed from the Dashboard. If it is early next week that should be fine. We would like to stick with Releases vs. nightly builds. In our corporate environment we only create distribution packages periodically. Is there an estimate on when 2.9.2 is coming out?

Ok, the update to the dashboard should be in the next couple of days. That will mean that a standard 2.9.1 will enable you to install 2.0.3 from the existing dashboard and go from there - I think that gets you what you want.

(2.9.2 is not going to be out until mid-May.)

Assigning to Andrew who is going to do the 2.0.3 update.

Has the release date been pushed out? I just did a Find Updates from my STS dashboard running 2.9.1.RELEASE and it didn't upgrade my Grails to 2.0.3 it is still 2.0.1.

Sorry for the delay, hopefully it'll get done imminently. (Remember you can use any version you like with STS, you don't have to get it via update site. Just unzip a grails locally and then point STS at it in the preferences.)

this has been done. I just tested it and 2.0.3 was installed from the dashboard into my STS 2.9.2.
