Importing Gradle project(s) that are physically stored in workspace does not work

      Description

If a set of gradle project's and subprojects are physically stored in the workspace, then Eclipse will not allow the creation of a linked project with the same name because it conflidcts with things that exist on disk.

Not sure what a good solution is, but perhaps at least the wizard could detect and warn about this.

I paste here the error message that STS gives when the import procedure aborts (i.e. for project myprj):

Invalid project description...overlaps the location of another project: 'myprj'

Maybe bug 105603 on Eclipse Bugzilla is the key.

I thought about it a bit. I think that it will probably work if the wizard detects the situation that a project is physically located directly under the workspace on disk. In this case it should simply not use a linked representation for this project.
