As a developer, I would like to have the option to generate a manifest from scratch

      Description

Currently, manifest generation in STS is incremental, the existing manifest will be used as input. Is it true the purpose of the template.mf file is like it should be possible to delete the manifests at any time and generate a new one, and no manual changes should be made to the manifests? If yes, it would be nice when I click re-generate, it will start from scratch, maybe configurable with an option on the project like 'auto-format manifest' and 'scan output folders'?

Sorry, I think wrong category, should be STS?

Daniël, this is all already possible. You can always delete the MANIFEST.MF and Bundlor will re-generate it from scratch. If you run a clean project build the internal incremental state will be discarded as well.

        Hi Christian,

thanks for your reply. I know about this workaround, would be nice when this incremental building can be disabled (or have another option in the menu). During development, I make many changes to the manifest (because classes which are not available on the classpath are not visible in autocompletion dropdowns). Before committing, I want to re-generate the manifests of all projects again to be sure a correct manifest is generated. Would be nice when I simply can select the projects, click re-generate manifest and I can start the dm server and see if everything works as intended.

Sorry for the major priority, I think this one should be a minor.

        grtz,
        Daniël
